Vera List's As for Protocols #2 Convened by Jennifer Kabat

On Oct 19, the New School Vera List Center held its second seminar in its As for Protocols series: "Protocols for Community and Equitable Networks [as applied to education]." The seminar was convened by faculty member Jennifer Kabat as well as Robert Semper, both of whom are also part-time faculty at the New School, though not currently teaching. Participants included Caitlin Cherry, founder and co-director of Dark Study; Shani Peters, co-founder of The Black School; and Tsige Tafesse, co-founder of BUFU (By Us For Us). Integrated presentations and shared group activities explored the protocols for education outside the neoliberal university to prioritize care, fugitivity, and shared learning.
